Shop / mchoi hard eva travel case
For over 30 years, Pelican has built a reputation for manufacturing the toughest cases in the world. In fact, the company invented the category. Over these years, Pelican Cases have been put through some fairly crazy activities...and important ones too. They have been thrown out of helicopters in Iraq, floated through frigid fjords in Norway, and rolled over by SUVs in Tanzania, yet the contents inside have been left unscathed, aside from a few minor scratches on the exterior. These are minor details that provide major bragging rights. Ultimately, it's about getting gear from point A to point B in the condition it's meant to be in: intact and functional. Whether it's a large format camera that will shoot the next magazine cover or a heart defibrillator that could save a life, the contents cannot be replaced.
The secret to the Pelican Case's durability is the tongue and groove fit with a polymer o-ring acting as a waterproof seal. The Automatic Pressure Equalization Valve releases built-up air pressure while keeping water molecules out, resulting in a watertight case that is even easier to open. Stainless steel ball bearing wheels last longer and ride smoother, with a nylon hub adjacent to the stainless steel designed to resist heat, reducing wear and tear on the polyurethane wheel.
Stainless steel hasp protectors are a Pelican exclusive. The Double-Throw latches are smarter and easier to open, with a classic "C" clamp design and a secondary movement that works like a pry bar to start the release, offering plenty of leverage to open with a light pull. Custom engraved nameplates are available for a nominal fee, and stainless steel reinforced padlock protectors provide added strength and extra security against cutting and theft.
The watertight, crush proof, and dust proof 1740 long case offers the ultimate protection solution. The open cell core with polymer wall construction makes this case incredibly strong. It features an O-ring seal, wide-track polyurethane wheels, 2 automatic pressure equalization valves, and stainless steel hardware and padlock protectors. The 4 extra-deep base-to-lid locking cleats ensure maximum stacking stability. With a minimum temperature of -40 degrees Fahrenheit (-40 degrees Celsius) and a maximum temperature of 210 degrees Fahrenheit (99 degrees Celsius), this case can withstand the most extreme conditions. The interior dimensions are 40.98 x 12.92 x 12.13 inches, the exterior dimensions are 44.16 x 16.09 x 14.00 inches, and the weight with foam is 27.00 pounds.
